The Procedure

Your breast augmentation procedure will begin with the administration of general anesthesia to ensure your comfort. Once you are fully sedated, Dr. Prescott will make a carefully placed incision in one of several possible locations (such as under the breast, around the areola, or in the armpit), depending on your anatomy and desired results.

Next, she will create a pocket either above or below the pectoral muscle to position the implant. She then inserts the chosen implant and adjusts it to achieve optimal symmetry and proportion. Finally, the incisions are closed with sutures, and surgical dressings are applied to support the healing process.

Recovery and Results

After your breast augmentation surgery in Louisville, KY, you can expect to experience some swelling, bruising, and general discomfort in the treatment area. Fortunately, this is temporary and will subside quickly. While individual recovery times will vary, most patients can gradually resume light activities in 5-7 days.
