Augmentation

Breast augmentation involves the use of implants to enhance appearance and shape - giving women with small or uneven breasts a fuller, firmer and better proportioned look. There are multiple options for the type of surgical approach taken; implants come in many forms and they can be positioned either under the breast tissue or chest wall muscle. Augmentation is normally performed as an outpatient procedure under general anesthetic. Incisions are typically made in the infra-mammary fold (under the breast) or trans-axillary (under the armpit). Swelling is to be expected, and, although rare, some bruising can occur. However, downtime is minimal and after a “weekend” recovery you can be back to every day activities.
