What is Sculptra?
It’s no secret that, as we age, so does our skin. That’s why there is Sculptra Aesthetic – an FDA-approved injectable that helps gradually replace lost collagen, as well as underlying causes of facial aging over time. Not to mention, the results can last for up to two years. Read more about Sculptra to see if it’s a good fit for you!
The Sculptra Difference
As we all know, not all injectables are created equal. With different results being produced from each product, it’s important to really know what product you’re using. Sculptra Aesthetic is different from traditional collagen stimulators because it works within your body, rather than topically. As microparticles are absorbed in the skin, the collagen production process begins.
The Science
When collagen rebuilds, your skin looks fuller and brings volume to wrinkles and folds. Thus, minimalizing signs of aging skin. Sculptra contains biodegradable material called poly-L-lactic acid. When treatments are administered, this material is gradually, and naturally, absorbed by the body and helps to rebuild the collagen that keeps our skin looking full. While injection amounts and cadence vary based on the person, typically about three injection appointments are needed over a couple month period for best results.
